Dr Adrianna Scheibner
Born in Czechoslovakia, Dr Scheibner moved to Australia after the Russian invasion in 1968 and went on to receive her medical degree in 1980 from Sydney University.

She has a long list of innovations and credits (see sidebar) and is considered a leading expert in the field of laser dermatology. Her unique treatment process was named "The Scheibner Method" by Harvard Medical School.

Dr Scheibner is currently working on a research project/protocol on the effects of laser light on melanoma surgical scars. She has written numerous articles, books and introduced a complete line of very effective skincare products. Her favourite procedures are full face and neck rejuvenation and the treatment of challenging scars. She also runs the country clinics.

Dr Scheibner: Credits & Innovations

Developed a break-through laser technique which virtually eliminated scarring (1981). The “Scheibner Technique” so called by Harvard Medical School gave birth to the cosmetic possibilities in the field of laser dermatology. Participated in collaborative research at Yale University department of dermatology on the effects of UV light on human skin. (1980-1982) First to use laser light successfully without scarring on children to treat portwine birthmarks (1982). First specific techniques for all manner of scarring, eg acne, surgical. (1983) First full-time laser dermatology centre: The Scheibner Centre in Sydney initially founded in 1983 to support research on melanoma. Moved to United States 1987. (The Scheibner Centre Australia run by doctors trained by Dr. Scheibner until 1998) Invited to teach at University of California, Irvine (1988 to 1990). Founded the Bravehearts Foundation (1988) a charity to help underprivileged children obtain free treatment for disfiguring skin conditions including scars, birthmarks and gang related tattoos. First treatment of stretchmarks by laser in 1991. Opened The Scheibner Center in Beverly Hills (1990 to 1997). Working with noted plastic surgeons and others, she helped people whose work involves looking perfect in Hollywood. Dozens of television and radio interviews, as well as editorial coverage in such magazines as Glamour, Elle, Vogue, Los Angeles Times, Redbook , Channel7, and even National Geographic to name but a few. Presented her laser treatment work at dozens of medical conferences around the world. Complete line of skin care products: “Amber Essence Skin Care” (1992). 1998 introduced another breakthrough gentle laser technique which dramatically reduces healing time and enables the first body skin rejuvenation by deep collagen regeneration. With over 20 years experience, Dr. Scheibner returned to practice in Sydney Australia in 1999. Introduced improved line of Scheibner Centre skin care products in 2001. Currently performing ongoing research/protocol at Sydney Melanoma unit to clinically determine exact effects of laser light in healing surgical scars.
